Trraform Terms of Service

Last updated 10/15/2025

1. Definitions

"Trraform," "we," "our," "us" means the online voxel-world project made available at trraform.com.

"Service" means the website, editor, APIs, databases, assets, and all associated software, documentation, and services provided by Trraform.

"User," "you," "your" means anyone who accesses or uses the Service, whether registered or not.

"Plot" means a claimable location within the voxel world, represented as a top face of a voxel. Plots can exist on the main world surface or within nested voxel structures at various depth levels.

"Depth" refers to the level of nesting within the voxel world. There are three depth levels: depth 0 (the main world), depth 1, and depth 2 (nested layers within existing builds).

"Plot Credit" means a virtual item that can be redeemed to claim a single Plot at any depth level.

"Content" means any data, builds, text, images, links, metadata, or other material uploaded, transmitted, or created through the Service.

"Virtual Items" means Plot Credits, verification badges, subscription benefits, or any other in-Service items with no cash value and licensed, not sold.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a digital good or subscription, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. By using the Service you also consent to receive all notices electronically in accordance with Electronic Communications Consent.

3. Changes to the Terms or the Service

We may revise these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will post a notice in-Service unless an immediate change is required due to legal obligation. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

4. Eligibility & Requirements to Access

  • Age. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 and will delete such data if discovered.
  • Technical needs. A stable internet connection, a modern WebGL-capable browser with JavaScript enabled, and compatible hardware are required.
  • No automated access. Scraping, crawling, bulk-downloading, or automated collection of data—including for AI-model training—without our prior written consent is prohibited.
  • Export control. You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country or a prohibited party under U.S. export laws. The software is subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

5. Account Registration & Security

You may register using Google OAuth or an email address with password. If you register with email, you must verify your account using a code sent to your email address. Passwords are salted and hashed with bcrypt. Usernames must be 3–32 characters, unique, and may contain alphanumerics, "_", and "." only. You are responsible for all activity under your credentials. We may reclaim inactive usernames or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

6. License to Use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Trraform.

7. Virtual Items – Plot Credits

  • Plot Credits are licensed, not sold. Plot Credits cost $9.99 USD each and may be purchased through Stripe. Each account receives one free Plot Credit upon creation.
  • Claiming Plots. A Plot Credit may be redeemed to claim any available Plot at any depth level. A claimed Plot is associated with a unique identifier; however, the position of a Plot within the voxel world may change at any time. We reserve the right to reclaim any Plot from any user, with or without a refund of the associated Plot Credit, for any reason at our sole discretion.
  • Inactivity and forfeiture. To maintain a claimed Plot, you must update the build associated with that Plot at least once every 30 days. If 30 days pass without a build update, the Plot becomes available for other users to claim. If another user claims your inactive Plot, we will make reasonable efforts to return the Plot Credit to your account so that you may claim a different Plot; however, we are not liable if technical issues prevent the return of your credit.
  • No guarantees. A Plot Credit does not guarantee the availability, position, or permanence of any particular Plot. Plot Credits are non-transferable.
  • License nature. Plot Credits and all Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value, are not redeemable or refundable for cash, and may be revoked or modified at our discretion. We reserve the right to expire, adjust, or revoke Plot Credits at any time, with or without notice.

8. Subscriptions

The monthly subscription costs $7.99 USD via Stripe and auto-renews unless canceled.

Subscription benefits include: ad-free browsing; an increased build-size limit of 72 × 72 × 72 voxels for all of the subscriber's Plots (non-subscribers are limited to 36 × 36 × 36); a name tag displayed above the subscriber's Plots in the 3D world, visible to other users; a verified badge shown on the name tag and on Plot profile pages; and the ability to add a link to each Plot.

Introductory credit offer. For a limited time, subscribers receive one Plot Credit for each of their first six successful billing cycles (a maximum of six credits total per account). This offer applies to the first six payments made, regardless of any cancellations and resubscriptions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue this offer at any time.

Changes to subscription. We reserve the right to modify subscription benefits or pricing. We intend to grandfather existing subscribers at their current rate and benefits until they cancel; however, we reserve the right to apply changes to existing subscriptions if circumstances require, such as significant changes in operating costs, legal requirements, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

Cancellation. Users can manage their subscriptions at any time by navigating to their profile and selecting the "Manage subscription" option, which opens the Stripe customer portal. From there, users can cancel, update payment methods, or view billing history. Users who cancel will retain access to all subscription benefits until the end of the current billing cycle. Upon the billing cycle ending, subscription benefits will be removed. Plot Credits already received from previous renewals will be retained. Builds larger than 36 × 36 × 36 will remain on the user's Plots; however, the name tag, link, and verified badge will be removed. To update such a Plot, users must first reduce the build size to 36 × 36 × 36 or less.

Payment failures. Stripe retries failed payments for up to 7 days. If recovery fails, the subscription lapses and benefits are removed at the end of the current billing cycle.

9. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Advertisements help support the continued operation and development of the Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge that advertisements may be displayed alongside Content and that ad content is provided by third parties and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not endorse or guarantee any products or services advertised. Subscribers with an active subscription will not see advertisements while logged in.

10. Refunds, Chargebacks & Fraud

All sales are final except where a paid digital item or service is not delivered due to a verifiable error on our side; in that case we will issue a full refund to the original payment method. Initiating a chargeback automatically voids the related Plot Credits and subscription benefits and may result in account suspension or termination.

11. User-Generated Content & License Grant

The Service is entirely public. By uploading or creating Content you grant Trraform a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, and otherwise use the Content for any purpose related to operating, promoting, or improving the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.

12. Community Guidelines & Moderation

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Illegal material; child sexual abuse material (CSAM); doxxing; terrorist or violent-extremism content.
  • Malware, spam, phishing, or intellectual-property infringement.
  • Violent, hateful, or sexually explicit material. (We reserve the right to remove or restrict such content at our sole discretion.)
  • Network or platform abuse—DDoS, port-scanning, unauthorized access attempts, distributing malware, or excessive bandwidth usage.

Users can report violations via support@trraform.com. We review reports within a reasonable time, may remove content or suspend accounts, and offer an appeal process via email.

13. Copyright Notices & DMCA

If you believe your copyright is infringed, email support@trraform.com or write to "DMCA Agent, Trraform, Jacksonville FL 32202" with the information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). We will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers.

14. Third-Party Services & Cookies

We rely on Google OAuth (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (Pages hosting, R2 storage, Turnstile CAPTCHA, edge caching), and Google AdSense (advertising). These providers may set cookies or collect data under their own terms. Your use of those services is subject to their agreements.

15. Privacy & Data Governance

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We retain server logs for up to 30 days and backups for up to 90 days. Content and account data are deleted or anonymized within 30 days of verified deletion requests, except where retention is legally required. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you without undue delay.

16. Email Communications

We use email to send verification codes during account registration and password recovery. We may also send service-related communications, such as Plot inactivity reminders, security alerts, and important account notifications. By creating an account, you consent to receive these communications.

17. Feedback & Suggestions

If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant Trraform an unrestricted, perpetual, sublicensable license to use, modify, and incorporate them without compensation.

18. Beta & Experimental Features

Beta or experimental features are provided "AS IS," may change or be removed at any time, and may contain bugs.

19. Updates, Patches & Breaking Changes

We may automatically download and install updates to the Service without additional notice to you. These updates may include security patches, feature enhancements, and bug fixes that may change or remove functionality.

20. Service Availability & Support

We target 99% monthly uptime but make no guarantees. Planned maintenance or outages will be announced when feasible. Support is provided via email only (support@trraform.com) on a best-effort basis; we aim to respond within 3 business days.

21. Security & Vulnerability Disclosure

We take reasonable measures to protect the Service. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly via email. Do not publicly disclose security issues before we have patched them.

22. Data & Content Back-Ups

Trraform is not a backup service. You are responsible for exporting and backing up your builds and other data locally.

23. High-Risk Use Disclaimer

The Service is not designed for use in situations where failures could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental or property damage. You agree not to use the Service in any such high-risk environment.

24. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trraform's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the total fees you paid to Trraform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.

26. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trraform, its contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

27. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in Jacksonville, Florida. You and Trraform waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions. Either party may bring individual claims in small-claims court if jurisdictional requirements are met.

28. Arbitration Opt-Out Procedure

You may opt out of the foregoing arbitration provision by sending a signed, written notice to support@trraform.com within 30 days of first creating your account. Your notice must include your username and a statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

29. Consumer Rights & Non-Excludable Remedies

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the laws of your habitual residence. EU residents retain all statutory rights, including withdrawal rights where applicable.

30. Taxes

Prices are exclusive of taxes unless otherwise noted. You are responsible for all applicable VAT, sales tax, or similar duties, except for taxes based on Trraform's income.

31. Export-Control Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and international export laws and regulations, including the EAR and sanctions programs administered by OFAC.

32. Electronic Communications Consent

You consent to receive all notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications electronically, including via email or in-Service banners. These communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

33. Notices & Contact

Legal notices must be emailed to support@trraform.com

34. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, war, labor disputes, power failures, or internet outages).

35. Miscellaneous

  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Headings & Interpretation. Section headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation. "Including" means "including without limitation."
  • Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trraform.
